Houston Porcelain Veneers by Drs. Schiro, Kline & Garcia
Do you have chipped, dark, discolored or unevenly-spaced teeth that make it embarrassing to smile? Porcelain Veneers are a fast and effective way to fix your teeth and give you a beautiful smile.
Porcelain veneers can:
- Repair small, chipped, or cracked teeth
- Fill in unsightly gaps and spaces
- Cover severe stains or dark colors
- Make your teeth straight and white
What are Porcelain Veneers and/or “No-prep” Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a gorgeous way to correct stained, chipped, or crooked teeth. By placing glass-like ceramic porcelain on the surface of the teeth, our doctors can provide our patients with bright, straight, and natural looking smiles. Imagine that in just two visits you can have a custom made smile of your dreams. Porcelain veneers and no prep veneers can help you achieve that goal by correcting:
- dark teeth
- stained or discolored teeth
- gaps or spaces
- old crowns and fillings
- crooked or crowded teeth
- small or chipped teeth
- old fillings and cavities
At Smile Texas we use Porcelain Veneers and gentle “no-prep veneer” alternatives. Porcelain veneers are designed in a style and proportion to fit your face, look naturally beautiful, and give you a great new smile you’ll be proud to show off. Veneers make your smile straight and white, resistant to staining and discoloring and in many cases are stronger than your natural teeth. The end result is what we call a “Smile Makeover” because your beautiful, new smile will make you feel more attractive, confident and like a new you!
The Porcelain Veneer Procedure:
The placement of porcelain veneers is one that requires skill, precision, and artistry of a talented cosmetic dentist. Having your smile made over with veneers at our office will only take about two office visits. In the first visit, our doctor will first plan your new smile by determining what size, shape, and type of veneers will best complement your smile, face shape, and aesthetic desires. Next, the doctor will carefully prepare the teeth by removing a small amount of enamel to accommodate the veneer. He will then place temporary veneers to protect the teeth while the permanent version is crafted by our world-class, in house, master ceramist. Once the permanent veneers are ready, you will return for your second visit to have your permanent veneers placed. This is the final step in your Smile Makeover, and you can leave our office with a brand new, beautiful smile in as little as 48 hours!

What Will My Porcelain Veneers Look Like?
Take a look at our Smile Gallery and you will see countless before and after pictures of our patients who have chosen to improve their smile through porcelain veneers. The glass-like ceramic that forms porcelain veneers closely resembles natural tooth enamel. This is because, much like real tooth enamel, porcelain veneers are translucent. When light strikes a natural tooth’s surface, it is not immediately reflected off. Instead, it penetrates the tooth enamel and reflects off the opaque tooth dentin that lies just beneath. This translucent effect is what gives teeth their luster. By replicating this, porcelain veneers provide patients with bright, natural looking smiles.
Porcelain veneers can also cover and repair cracked and chipped teeth. Because porcelain veneers are custom made and fitted to your teeth, you can customize and improve much more than just the color of your teeth. Crooked and chipped teeth can have their appearances improved to give you a beautiful new smile. Any broken teeth can be repaired using Porcelain Crowns, or caps, that can be color matched to your veneers.
Cost of Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers:
The cost of having porcelain veneers placed is generally not covered by dental insurance plans because it is considered a cosmetic treatment. However, financing is available through companies as CareCredit®, Chase Health Advance℠, My Medical Loan, and Springstone. These affordable financing options make it easy to get the smile you want right away!
